Fly to Chambery this winter, only 1.5 hours transfer to Les Arcs

Chambery Airport: four new connecting flights

Whilst major works on the rail way lines are being made in order to improve comfort and reduce waiting time, connecting flights between Great Britain and Chambery are also developing.

Chambery airport has announced four new connecting flights for next winter. British Air Ways have flights going to London Stansted Saturdays and Sundays, and the airline Flybe has three new flight destinations to Norwich, Doncaster and Manchester.

These flights will be additional to the existing daily flights during the end of the year holidays to London City airport with British Airways, as of the 17th December to the 9th January. Flights will also run on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from January to March. For the French Savoyards, this will allow them to also be in the heart of the English capital in just 1h30.

This increased demand goes to show that the British market has faith in its developing clients, in spite of Brexit and the devaluation of the pound. Up to today, the British are still number one clients in the Savoyard ski resorts with 215,000 passengers last year

For this season, Chambery airport is expecting 11 regular destinations to the UK and The Netherlands, in addition to the 20 various tour operators; English, Russian, Scandinavian and Israeli.

The airport will benefit from a complete renovation in the check in area. At security, improvements and organisation will also be made in order to reduce the amount of waiting time. The boarding zone will also be enlarged, as well as the boutique.

All works are due to finish in October.
